The term Pale Ale can be used to refer to one of two different beer styles.
- An English Pale Ale is usually considered a type of strong Bitter.
- An India Pale Ale or IPA is a hoppier, stronger export ale.
- An American Pale Ale is an Americanized version of a British pale ale.
