Welcome to the exciting world of Home Brewing!

Getting Started

The best thing you can do before starting to brew is to get as much information as possible. Luckily, the internet is an amazing resource for both beginner and expert brewers alike to share methods, recipes, and helpful tips. Two highly recommended resources are:

  • "How to Brew" by Jim Palmer - Available as both an online resource and as a book, "How to Brew" is the most comprehensive beginners guide available. Almost every question that would be posed by a beginner can be found by reading Sections 1 and 2 of Jim Palmer's book. This is as close to required reading that can be found anywhere.
  • Home Brew Talk - One of the biggest and friendliest communities of home brewers on the internet. Join up and ask the members - both beginners and award winning brewers - any question and you will receive helpful answers.
