Are these still available anywhere?
* Mild Ale * Bitter * Golden Ale * Pale Ale * India Pale Ale * Porter and Stout * Barley Wine * Old Ale * Scottish beers * Light Bitters
- I've linked the pages here for your reference Orfy. Light Bitters doesn't exist exactly on the bitters page, maybe it needs to be added? There isn't a specific scottish beers style page either, it is combined with irish as per BJCP. --Bradsul 17:44, 26 September 2007 (CDT)
The point of having them together is they are Traditional British Styles and not BJCP styles. BJCP is purely for American based competition and nothing to do with real world British beers. They are not all real Ales either some are cask some are kegged and some are bottled. I think British Ales need a reference page of their own or at least their own category.
- There is already a category for British beer styles, under Category:British beer styles, although the content (copied from the old British Beer Styles page) appears to be a straight copy-and-paste job from the British Beer & Pub Association's web page. There are also separate pages for Category:Irish beer styles, Category:English beer styles and Category:Scottish beer styles. These are all available from the main Beer styles page, which is linked directly from the front page. If this page is just meant to be a listing of British beer, then it should probably redirect to Category:British beer styles, which is more complete and which uses categories so it's easier to maintain. I thought it was more of a "Real Ale" topic, so I redirected it to Real Ale. --Chapka 08:20, 27 September 2007 (CDT)
