Most beginning homebrew equipment kits come with two food-grade plastic buckets; one to be used as a bucket fermenter and the other as a bottling bucket.
Many advanced home brewers continue using these buckets for these and other tasks (such as mixing sanitizing solution); other switch to carboys for fermentation and keg their beer or prime directly in the bottles with sugar tablets.
